A Life Update

So, I’m back. I feel like I’ve posted a ton of these “I’m back” posts before, and I’m hoping this will be the last one due to regularly scheduled blogging. Basically, I’ve been M.I.A. since I decided to go back to grad school. I’ve checked in here and there, but all but abandoned my passion projects. It was even crazier last year. I ended up finishing my MBA, but a few other things happened to keep me away from the blogging life. First, I was unceremoniously let go from my job last June. In the interim, I started this site in the hopes that i could make a few extra bucks freelancing while looking for more stable work (I did indeed land a client!). I also ended up taking a temp job in the fall, enrolling students for a health school in Tampa to help make ends meet. I finally (finally!) was hired by a company in Orlando, and started my new job this past January. Oh yeah, I also went to Paris  a week before I started my new job (bought the tickets before I was laid off):

Flash forward a couple months when my man and I decided to buy a house together (you guys, I’ve been away so long, I don’t even remember my man’s blog nickname!). Then T (new nickname) decided to ask me to marry him. I said yes. Then I said, “I do” about two months later when we eloped two days after closing on our house:

AIN’T DAT SOME SHIT?! It’s like, for all of my 20s and earlier 30s i was kind of in the same place in my personal life, and then 33 hit and was like, “I’M ‘BOUT TO FUCK YOUR WORLD UP.” But in a good way. Except when it comes to changing my name – that shit is a pain in the ass. But now i’m adulting like a motherfucker. And I plan to start blogging like one, too.

Cash me outside, how bah dah?
